The cottage has 150 feet of private water-frontage on the shores of Little Wilson Pond. Woods on both sides of the property ensure privacy. There is no public boat launch on the pond, so it is quiet and peaceful and uncrowded. A new deck provides a perfect place to lie back and relax, read a book, meditate, or simply gaze at the water below. Swimmers can jump into the water from the newly rebuilt dock. Toddlers can wade in the small pebbly beach to the left of the dock. Fish include bass for the serious angler and sunfish for the kids. A rowboat is provided for your use. For shore-based fun, you can challenge a friend to horseshoes, play croquet, or compete in a fast-paced game of volleyball or badminton. Puzzles, Scrabble, books, and other games provide indoor entertainment. The nearby Auburn mall has a movie theater and shopping for provisions and rainy days. Kitchen: Fully equipped with electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and blender. Eat in the kitchen with a full view of the water; view the morning sunrise on the pond while eating breakfast. Or cook on the gas grill and dine on the deck overlooking the pond. Bathroom: Full with toilet, basin, tub/shower. Sleeping: 1st floor bedroom with double bed; loft with two double beds and 1 single bed. Fold-out futon in living room. Heating: The cottage is equipped with a hot air furnace for chilly mornings and evenings. Outdoor accommodations: Deck with outdoor dining, gas grill, dock, fire pit, lawn for outdoor games. The pond: Little Wilson Pond. Approximately 1 mile long by .5 mile wide, 111 acres in size. Clean, clear water suitable for swimming, boating, fishing. No public boat launch. Native fish include bass, sunfish. |
